ADR 2023 is now applicable, replacing the 2021 version across all 54 territories which have ratified the agreement.

For the next six months there is a transitional period during which either ADR 2023 or ADR 2021 may be used. Notable amendments in the 2023 version include those for:

Lithium batteries;

Appointing a DGSA;

UN 1169, extracts, aromatic, liquid; and

Consigning waste.

You can read our full analysis of all the changes in our guide to the changes in ADR 2023.

We’ve also just released our ADR 2023 General Awareness Training full course.

The PDF files of the ADR 2023 can now be downloaded for free from the UNECE Website here, including a corrigendum applicable to the English and French versions correcting a couple of errors in the printed text.
